Our journey began with firsthand exposure to the bottlenecks of rural distribution. We saw how 2500+ villages in Tumkur district, Karnataka remained underserved by traditional supply chains—plagued by multiple intermediaries, high distribution costs, and a lack of market access for high-quality products and essential services. This situation is not an isolated one and reflects the 600,000+ villages in India. This challenge inspired RuralEquip's founders, veterans of technology, agriculture, and commerce, to create a platform that would reimagine how rural India connects, trades, and grows.
